Eula Currence

Eula G. Currence, age 86 years, a former resident of the Cassity Community and more recently a resident of Elkins, passed away Tuesday, February 10, 2026 in the Elkins Rehabilitation and Care Center. She was born August 10, 1939 at Adolph, WV a daughter of the late Alden Dexter Roth and the late Eva Mullenex Roth. On August 15, 1954 at Hemlock, WV she married Jimmie Arling Currence who preceded her in death October 7, 1992. Surviving are two daughters, Pamela Sue Miller and Marsha Ann Silvester both of Elkins. Two sisters, Rose Marie Vanhorne of Clarksburg, WV and Alda Fay Wick of Ohio. Six grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren also survive. Also preceding her in death were one daughter, Donna Arlene Judy; one son, Rocky Lynn Currence; two brothers, Monte Kirk Roth and James Randall Roth; one half-brother, Jacky Lee Fonton; two sisters, Zola Mehus and Mary Aeillo and a great grandson, Nathaniel Howell. Eula was a homemaker and worked for several families in the Elkins area for many years. She was a member of the Crystal Springs Community Church and the Ladies Circle of the church. A graveside service will be held 1:00 pm Monday, February 16, 2026 at the Mt. Olive Cemetery at Hemlock, WV. Pastor Dave Collins will officiate and interment will follow. Memorial contributions may be made to the Crystal Springs Community Church, 602 Harris St., Elkins, WV 26241 in memory of Mrs. Currence. The Tomblyn Funeral Home of Elkins is in charge of the arrangements for Eula G. Currence. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.tomblynfuneralhome.com.
