OBITUARIES
Jeannie Lynn Simmons Raese, age 65 years, a resident of Elkins, passed away Thursday, June 11, 2026 in the Davis Memorial Hospital. She was born September 21, 1960 in Elkins, a daughter of the late Clarence E. “Bus” Simmons and Mary Margaret Rine Simmons. She was married to John Viering Raese, Jr. who survives. Also surviving are two sons, Wade Allen Raese and Hayden Lynn Raese, both of Elkins, two sisters, Susie Teel and husband Fred of Charleston and Patty Chuck and husband Jim of Durham, NC and one grandchild.
Jeannie was preceded in death by one sister, Sherry Pierson. Jeannie had worked for many years at Curnutte Law Office of Elkins. She was a former member of H.W. Daniels Post No. 29 American Legion of Elkins.
At Jeannie’s request, her remains will be cremated. The Tomblyn Funeral Home of Elkins is in charge of the arrangements for Jeannie Lynn Simmons Raese. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.tomblynhuneralhome.com.
