Richard Moore

Richard W. “Dick” Moore, age 94 years, a resident of Elkins, passed away Monday, March 23, 2026 in the Wv Caring Hospice Center in Elkins. He was born September 10, 1931 in Elkins, a son of the late Harry B. Moore and the late Mary Channel Moore. On August 2, 1952 in Elkins, he married Gayle Paul Moore who survives in Elkins. Also surviving is one daughter, Shelley Seibert, Elkins; one brother, Robert Moore and wife Joyce of Morgantown, WV; two grandchildren, Steven Seibert and Samantha Milbourne, Morgantown, WV and Olivia Seibert, Lexington, KY; sister-in-law, Neva Georgeson and husband Robert “Popey” Georgeson and a special care giver, Gary Moats. Also preceding him in death were one son, Mark Moore; brothers-in-law, Charles Paul and wife Alene and Richard Paul and wife Nancy.

Dick attended the schools of Randolph County and received a BS in Accounting from WVU. He was a Veteran of the United States Air Force. Dick was employed by the F.B.I., Moore Electric Company, E.C. Earnest Electrical Contractor and was a business owner and construction company owner including Designers & Constructors, McManus Office Supply and McManus Gifts and Colonial Place. Dick was a member and deacon of the Davis Memorial Presbyterian Church and a member of BPOE Lodge 1135 in Elkins and Alpha Kappa Psi.

The service for Dick will be private. A Service of Remembrance will be announced at a later date. The family request flowers be omitted and memorial contributions be made to the Randolph County Humane Society, PO Box 785, Elkins, WV 26241 or the Davis Memorial Presbyterian Church, 450 Randolph Ave., Elkins, WV 26241 in memory of Dick. The Tomblyn Funeral Home of Elkins is in charge of the arrangements for Richard W. “Dick” Moore. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.tomblynfuneralhome.com.
