OBITUARIES
Sandra “Beth” Smith Crigler, age 58 years, a resident of Elkins, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, September 12, 2026. She was born April 9, 1968 in Elkins a daughter of Jerry Calvin Smith and Ruth Teter Smith who survive in Elkins. On September 11, 2021 in Elkins, she married John Michael Crigler, Jr. who survives in Elkins. Also surviving is a daughter, Angellea “Lea” Crawford and husband Wes of Coalton; a brother David Smith and wife Jamie, Elkins; a sister Chrissy Long and husband Richard of Elkins; two grandchildren Gemma and Logan Crawford and several close family members also survive. Beth attended the schools of Randolph County and was a graduate of Elkins High School and attended Davis & Elkins College. She was formerly employed by 22nd Century Technologies in Elkins. She enjoyed painting, crafting, music and taking pictures. She loved raising and caring for her flowers and she loved horses. Friends may call from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm Tuesday, September 15, 2026 at the Tomblyn Funeral Home in Elkins. A funeral service will be held at 7:00 pm Tuesday at the funeral home chapel with Pastor Steve Wymer officiating. Cremation will follow.
